I live in India. Ten minutes back, I saw a programme on RUSSIA TV about the Valaam monastery. It was an amazing and incredible experience for me. I am a Hindu and my religion lays a lot of importance on spirituality. And I found that spirituality is so evident in your monastery! One day, I would like to come and spend some days with the priests.

Valaam is the symbol of traditions and faith in the beautiful Karelian nature. Building up a new and strong monastery community in Valaam, will not only boost the spiritual debelopment in Karelia and South-Western parts of Russia, but also in Finland. Thereore, we should pray and support the work to re-establish the monastic powercenter in Valaam, and may God help us in this task.
